In this life we must not run but walk
Having the patience and time to talk
There are times that we fall down
And need a helping hand not to drown
Many times we’ve been picked up
So when you’re brother is thirsty, hand him the cup
Beside him gently take a knee
Pray for the words that will set him free
First begin with a listing ear
With him you may need to shed a tear
Share your trials the Lord has brought
Tell of the many battles fought
Remind him of our Lord’s sovereign will
With scriptures his mind you must fill
His wounds will take time to heal
Bear his burden and the pain you will feel
It is more blessed to give than to receive
Help you brother while his spirit does grieve
It is hard to take help when you are weak
It truly does make you meek
We must admit that we cannot stand
Without someone to hold our hand
Christ sends his body to save
To deliver us from the grave
Taking help has no shame
It happens that we may praise his name
So the next time you fall
Humble yourself and make the call
Angels he will send that have eyes to see
They will be blessed and set you free
1Co 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
1Co 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it
Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
